What I did on my Christmas Vacations or, enlightening the New Girl

Where to begin?
Let me se...

For the first two weeks of the month of December, the situation with the New Girl was... weird.
Because while she was absolutely horrible with her opinions about gay people, foreigners (a very broad and unfocused group to her), "libtards" and other stupid political bugbears, she still was an overall nice and even funny person.
Just don't get her started on politics, and everything would be fine.
I even got the impression that my girlfriend fancied her, with all her talk about helping the New Girl overcome her prejudices and stuff.

So in the end I confronted my girl about it.
"Would you like to do her?" I asked.
"Honestly, wouldn't you?" she replied.
Fair enough.

Then, things came to a head because of two quite opposite incidents.

Incident a: the New Girl expressed opinions about the Jews and the Holocaust that I cannot accept, so I got mad and I fired her.
It had been a long day, I was out of sorts, and her racist shit just made me flip. So I told her to take her stuff and get the fuck out of the shop, we did not need her Nazist ass around anymore.
She was shocked (it was ten days to Christmas) and ran crying to my partner, that acts tough but is a softy.
So we read her the riot act, real hard, and then hired her again.

Incident b: two days later we caught the New Girl smoking pot during lunch break. We had always suspected she was a discreet stoner, but now we got her red-handed. Given the fact that she had just been fired and hired back, that this is Lugano (hypocrite capital of the world) and that she was stoned silly, she got in a panic.
So to calm her down I told her about the time my mother had to come down to the police station because I had been caught smoking pot.

We started talking in a more relaxed way in the following days.
I asked her about the contradictions, like smoking pot and rooting for a scumbag like Italian politician Matteo Salvini (google him, he's a piece of work) that is a strong prohibitionist. Or like hating gays and working and smoking pot with a lesbian couple.

She admitted that her time spent in the shop with us was getting her pretty confused. We were not the sort of monsters she had been told we would be. The fact that we cannot be a "true family" ( = have kids) still got her ranting, but she softened her positions, and admitted she had been talking a lot of crap.
A way to keep her job?
Possibly.
But it was a start.

Then Christmas came, and me and my girl went to Midnight Mass on the 24th. This was something we used to do when my mother was alive. This year we were alone (my mother's partner was with her family), and so we decided to get wicked and invite the New Girl.
So we picked her up after she had her Christmas Eve dinner with her family, and went to church. It was a glowing, mystical experience, and if you ask me, the Catholic Church should make dropping e mandatory for attending ceremonies.
Being good girls, we only did half a tab, but the effects were... interesting, and we got very friendly on the way back.

I can now attest the New Girl has what she needs to play bass for KISS.

And no, we did not go beyond second base, and then delivered the New Girl to her boyfriend's place. I am sure they had a hell of a Christmas celebration.

We've seen her only twice between Christmas and New Year's Eve.
We talked a little about what happened and she was adamant she's straight, but she admitted she enjoyed the experience.
She also considers my girlfriend a better kisser than me.
What. The. Fuck!
But apparently, when she leaves next week, we will lose an employee but keep a friend.

  2. Fantastic story! Does give you faith in humanity. People can be open and understanding regardless of what they have been raised to believe. Thanks so much for sharing.

    1. You are welcome.
I don't know what will come out of it, but as my girl said, we have turned into her fairy godmothers :D

  3. I am looking forward to a story in which fairy godmothers wake a young woman up to the opportunities out there. It reminds me a little of the lesbian angels in the mural which features in the lesbian short 'Rosebud' from 1991.
