NaNo, Xmas and the New Girl

So I failed NaNoWriMo.
But it's OK: I needed the challenge, and even failing it was still worth the effort, because it put some fire back when I was feeling cold and all that.
NOthing ofwhat I managed to write will be lost.

And as a result, I am now working on a couple of spicy quickies for Christmas.
Because it's the season to be jolly, and nice is fine, but naughty is better.
Watch this space.

Meanwhile I've been observing the New Girl, my current research topic, when she's in the shop.

In a comment it's been suggested the kid is in the closet, and that's why she's acting like she does.
But I do not think thet's the real problem.

Now, based on my experience, no one is completely straight, it's like a sliding scale, but in my opinion this is not theproblem here.

The New Girl is one of the nicest people I ever met. That's what makes her so good in the shop. She's good with the customers, she likes to chat, she's even funny at times.
But all of that gets turned off when she hits certain topics.
Politics, mostly. Gender issues. Immigration.
On these themes, she's nasty, cruel and overall offensive.

She's been told every problem in her world is caused by "different" people. It does not matter what the difference is.
And she's a bit hazy where "normalcy" is concerned, because she's no integralist, no Traditional Wife or other rubbish like that. She's just young and generically conservative.
My girlfriend, that's not as sophisticated as I am, just says she's a fascist.
And she says we should help her.

"What about her family?" I asked. "She's not my daughter."

But my girl's like that.
The sort that rescues kitties, even if they are, you know, on the fascist spectrum.
Ah, after all it's Christmas, right? We gotta be nice.

  1. I just noticed that "Refractions: Beginnings" is out of Adult Dungeon. Did it escape or was it let out for good behavior? Or perhaps the reviewer just came to realize the errs of his ways by more fully appreciating its wickedly bad behavior? isn;t that a delicious thought! It certainly is one of my favorite works by you. I especially love the scene of the woman as a dominatrix. I am enthralled and thoroughly aroused by women who tempt others with their overt sexuality, but sternly deny others any taste of it. Something so erotic about being under someone's complete sexual control.

    1. This is really weird about Refractions.
I have never understood Amazon Rules of Applied Morality, but I guess what happens in the Dungeon stays in the Dungeon.
And thanks for your appreciation. Reractions was one of the stories I had more fun writing.
As for the dominatrix character... well, I think I'd like to write something about a good girl turning into a Queen Bitch Domne.
I'll put that on my to-do list.

  2. Fascinated by you subtly shifting someone's view of normalcy, maybe to the extent that she not only sees that woman-to-woman relationships are normal but that being a domme in a tight shiny outfit is too.
