When we decided to expand theoffer of the shop, to include perfumes and accessories, we hoped it would increase the sales. And it did.
It also caused us to be rushed on special occasions, such as Valentine's Day.
Lots of people buyimng small presents in our place.
S the Valentine's Day week was heavy, and we no longer had the New Girl helping us.
And for Valentine's Day, my girlfriend surprised me with an unexpected vacation: a last-minute trip to Rimini, on the Adriatic Riviera, to relax and enjoy the early spring.
We spent a day in nearby San Marino, the medieval city-state, and had also planned a quick jaunt to Venice, for a bit of the Carnival.
Then the Coronavirus scare hit Italy.
The country was in a panic and basically locked up, and it really felt like we were in some sort of horror movie, The Walking Dead and all that.
So we ended up stuck in our hotel, "enjoying" room service and Italian TV, waiting for the quarantine to be lifted to come back.
We were lucky, as the trip package we bought included an insurance for mishaps and acts of god, and it covered the extra days we spent abroad.
Now we are back, we did not meet any zombies, and... damn, it was supposed to be relaxing!
On the bright side: you got ideas for a new story that involves zombies, right? :D
