The book includes an appendix, about the sort of ideas that get me going in a whole new direction.
You know how it happens.
So, while I am waiting for the cover and then for the Amazon hobbits to clear my work and publish it, here goes the Appendix.
I hope you will enjoy it.
Comments welcome.
Welcome t the Hornyverse
The Hornyverse is something that popped up as I was writing the Prism/Transformed stories.
In the series, the characters are shifted through a series of parallel universes, where they have all sorts of (sexy) experiences and emerge transformed (or corrupted, depending on your point of view).
In particular, there is a universe that is a frequent destination for my characters. It is featured in the first Prism story, and in the Transformed series is visited by Cindy in the first part of the first book, and then by Miranda in the second part. Cyn tells Beth about what it was like.
Beth pouted. “What was the universe like?”
Cyn frowned. “Loose,” she said. “A pretty loose, laid-back place. Basically you could do whatever you wanted as long as you did not cause any trouble.” She closed her eyes. “Sexy. A very sexy place. Lots of nudity, on TV, and advertisements. Ads for cigarettes, booze. People just thought about sex, talked about it. Really enjoyed it.”
“Sounds cool.”
Cyn sighed. “Oh, it was.”
In the second book, both Virginia and Cindy’s parents are shifted there. And this time it’s Virginia that talks about what she found there with Victoria and we find out that Cyn dubbed that specific parallel “The Hornyverse.”
“How was that place?” Vic asked.
Virginia shrugged. “Crazy. Everybody was like, obsessed with sex. There was sex everywhere.”
Vic nodded. “I think one of the girls was there, too. She calls that place the Hornyverse.”
Virginia chuckled.
“It was good. I managed a sex shop. But it was all right, you know. It was a normal thing.”
“It is a normal thing,” Vic corrected her.
Virginia shrugged. “I guess it is.”
This is the basic premise: a place where anything goes, as long as nobody gets hurt. You see, I always liked the way the French seem so much more relaxed than we are here in Switzerland or compared, say, to Italy. They have no problems showing boobs in advertisement billboards, and there’s a general wicked sexy-ness in the country.
I just turned that up to eleven.
And so we get a place where you can have any kind of sex, straight or gay, plain vanilla or kinky, and it’s all right. A place with no taboos, in which the Scouts are lobbying to have the age of consent lowered, and where it’s OK if your mom has a toy boy or two, as long as she shares, and sex for money is just a a career choice like another. Where booze and drugs are seen as a way to relax and have more fun. Also, the Hornyverse is a place where everybody’s a sexier version of their basic selves. Let’s say the guys get two or three extra inches, and girls get one extra cup size.
In my Hornyverse, Stanley Kubrik directed “Barbarella” instead of “2001”, and it turned out to be quite a good movie, featuring a lengthy zero-g threesome.
Wonder Woman goes topless in her comics, and the Disney Princesses get it on in every movie.
And kids TV also features the Rocky Horror Muppet Show.
And it’s all right.
I will admit that it’s hard to imagine how a place like this could function as a civilization, because, really, why go to work when you could be somewhere having a good rough fuck?
Why go to school, but to hook up with other horny teenagers. School proms must be really something.
And really, I think this place has a very low crime rate, and there’s not been a war for quite a while, because once again, why go and shoot at each other when we could just have a big party and screw each other’s brains out?
On the other hand, there’s no overpopulation problem, because contraception is considered basic politeness.
Swinging, too, is basic politeness among neighbors.
And no high drama and failed relationships, because if you really really like one girl but you also really really enjoy sex with another, you’d probably fall into some kind of menage-a-trois or into some poliamory thing.
But anyway, this is the Hornyverse, my favorite place in the Multiverse, and I’d like to explore it some more, so I might try and write a few stories set specifically there.
Stories about people enjoying sex.
My kind of stories, in other words.

Sound very intriguing are you just planning on looking around (i.e. having a story set their and your POV character/s born there so its all normal to them) or do you want someone to journey there (wake up from a coma in the new world, step through a mirror, specifically search it out as they feel they’ve been born into the wrong world etc)
ReplyDeleteSounds great, looking forward to the new addition!
