The Widow & the Witches

OK...
First of all, thank you guys (and girls!!) for pushing "The Widow" into the Top 100 on both Amazon.com and Amazon.uk.
You are fantastic!

As a thank you present, I thought I'd give you a peek into my new story and into the weird coming and goings of my somewhat dazed mind.
As I mentioned a few days back, a friend passed me this image, from Russian artist Waldemar Von Kozak. It's called "White or Black?"

And you know I'm Team Black, right?
So, I love this image, I like the sexiness and the subtle evil of it, and the fact that it hints at a story. I'd love to see more of these characters, see how the story develops... but this is all I've got.
And so I wrote a story about it.
It's called "Body & Soul" and it's fun, and magic, and terribly naughty, full of sex and corruption and cigarettes and kinkiness, but in a rather light-hearted way.
Right now I'm putting the finishing touches to it (maybe I'll add a few scenes) while I wait for a friend that will design me another classy cover. It would be great to use this one, really, but I don't want to steal this gentleman's art I love so much.

So, about the three characters, now...

They are witches, of course. The elements are all there: black dresses and hats, the spider-shaped earring the redhead wears, the black cat, the Baphomet tattooed on the arm of the older of the three.
These are witches.
And to me witchcraft is sexy!
I actually spent some time reading a lot of weird stuff on the subject, when I was younger, and for a while I was really "into" the whole "sensuous witch" thing.

So, here's my take on these ladies:

The brunette on the left is Morena. Morena's in her early thirties and she's your typical party girl. To Morena witchcraft is all about breaking the rules, doing a lot of sex and having a laugh. She's the sort that uses her powers to prank the unwary and considers corrupting others as a way of liberating them to let them join the fun.

The redhead in the centre is Jezebel. In her early forties, Jez's the head of the coven and she's your typical nasty, malicious sex goddess. She loves evil for evil's sake and is ready to go to any length to satisfy her curiosity. To her witchcraft is power, and she's also the "why should I fuck a man when I can fuck a demon?" sort of babe.

Finally, the white-haired one to the right is Ursula. Ursula is in her fifties and is essentially an old bawd, the sort of woman that spent her whole life collecting vices and trying anything once, and is now thoroughly corrupt and loving it, and quite happy to act as debauched muse to the younger generations. She basically sees witchcraft as another kinky, sinful thing she digs.

As for the three nuns...
Oh, the young, darling, innocent, naive three nuns!
To learn about them, and their Easter eggs, and those two trains and all the rest, you'll have to read "Body & Soul" - as soon as I finish polishing it, as soon as I get the cover, and as soon as Amazon puts it up.
You'll need a little patience.

    1. Thanks for reading The Widow. I'm happy you liked it.
I'm currently trying a few new things and experimenting a bit, and I'm trying my hand at stories that are not my usual.
Like the girl said popping the pills, let's see what happens!

  2. More more more!! LOVED The Widow (until she went all goth anyway!) PLEASE write more about this character, a different plot perhaps? Her attire, attitude, smoking sent me mushy. Fairly tall too isn't she :-). Thanks
