April or May?

I am so totally stupid, and I am also completely mortified.
Thanks to Eugene (Thanks!) I just realized the wrong file was uploaded, and you guys got a non edited version of April.

April started her life as a character called May.
Then I realized that the story would come out in April, and April was as good a name as May, and one thing led to another, and I did a quick change.
Only I didn't, not completely.
And when I noticed I corrected the file, but then went and loaded the other.

And no, for once I wasn't stoned, or high, or fucked up.
True, I was totally furious, this being last Saturday, but that's another story I will tell you another time.
Bottom line: I screwed up.

Now the right file's been uploaded and in a few hours, ideally, you'll be able to sync your Kindle file and get the proper one.
There is no way I can make amends but by releasing the next volume in the series... yes, the one called May... at a discount.
I made you pay full price for an unedited file, the least I can do is give youback something, somehow.

Once again, trhanks to Eugene for the heads up, and sorry for the mess.

  1. That explains the higher than usual amount of typos :)

Perhaps change your workflow to make yourself less prone to uploading unedited versions? For instance for any story project you could have a 'release' directory where you would only save the story after finishing editing? It's not a big deal, though - so don't be too upset about it.

  2. Don't let it bother you. Just a minor inconvenience. Anyway it's fixed now. No need to lower your price on the next book. You deserve the money. Your works are always enjoyable, as is "April." Glad to see you writing at your usual furious pace. Thanks for everything.
